| In recent years,family education has drawn more and more attention and parent education is one of the most effective forms to improve the quality of family education.Therefore,parent education has gradually become a hot topic in society.In November 2016,the All-China Women’s Federation,the Ministry of Education,the Ministry of Civil Affairs,and the Ministry of Culture issued the “Five-Year Plan for Promoting Family Education(2016-2020)”,which proposes to help parents comprehensively study family education knowledge and establish parent school in primary and secondary schools,kindergartens and secondary vocational schools.Urban parent schools have a school-building rate of 90% and rural parent schools have reached 80%.Building parent schools to develop parent education is an important breakthrough in improving family education in the future.Therefore,research on parent education has great practical significance.This paper selects the location of Fuzhou City where the author is studying as the survey location,and takes the parents with children in compulsory education as the research object.The education problem of parents who are having children in the compulsory education stage in Fuzhou City was investigated though the questionnaire survey method,literature analysis method and participatory observation method.The survey found that although the parent education in Fuzhou City has made great achievements,there are still four problems: the amount of education activities is too small;a lecture is the only form;teaching content is not systematic and the education fruit is not as well as expectation.The reasons are mainly due to the lack of public awareness of parent education,the backward development of curriculum research,the limited abilities of teachers and the lack of financial security for parent education.Based on the above analysis,the author put forward five suggestions.First of all,we will try our best to help parents establish an education awareness by increasing the propaganda of activities,building a learning community,enhancing the attractiveness of parent activities,and using parents’ self-development self-realization awareness.Secondly,teachers could be more professional by do a train.Thirdly,the organizers such as government’s relevant departments,schools,communities and other social institutions should carry out parent education activities together.Fourthly,enrich the forms of parent education by learning from the traditional forms and using modern technologies such as the Internet.Fifthly,raise parent education funds from multiple methods with the view of open source and reduce expenditure. |
