Folk games are entertainment activities spread among the masses,which contain rich traditional folk culture.Folk games are easy to use,rich and diverse,flexible and free,which have rich educational and cultural values for today's early childhood education;they reflect the dribs and drabs of people's lives,inherit the customs of generations,and record the memories of generations.This research mainly uses Delphi method,observation method and interview method to cooperate with Y kindergarten in S city.Based on the literature review and the previous research theories,the researcher uses Delphi method to draw up an analysis table of folk games,and summarizes seven indicators of folk games,which are game type,game content,game characteristics,game function,game preparation,game rules and game organization.In the course of the study,the researcher used observation method to analyze the folk games in free activities from two perspectives: the choice and development of folk games and the organization of folk games for children of different age classes.Firstly,through data analysis,the following problems are found: unbalanced choice of folk games;lack of development of language items in folk games;low folklore of folk games;imperfect entertainment and education functions of folk games;insufficient preparation of folk games experience,single rules;and single method of organizing folk games.After observing the organizational activities of folk games in three different age classes,the researcher found that there were different practical problems in the selection of game materials,game preparation,game organization and game adaptation in Y kindergarten large class,middle class and small class.Thirdly,through in-depth analysis of the results of interviews and observations,the researcher explores the causes of various problems arising from the development of folk games in Y kindergarten's free activities,and finds that the causes of the problems in Y kindergarten's free activities include: the limitations of reality,the influence of cultural changes,the interference of game autonomy,the lack of teachers' understanding,and so on.The neglect of free activities and insufficient support from kindergartens.Through observing and organizing folk games in free activities,the researchers believe that in order to better enable folk games to be carried out in free activities in kindergartens,first of all,we should organize folk games in various ways to give full play to the theme of free activities;in addition,we should still pay attention to cultural inheritance when choosing games;pay attention to language projects,enrich the content of folk games;give professional guidance or training to teachers;The support of multiple forces is the guarantee of better playing the game function.
