In the current urgent demand for interdisciplinary talents and education’s requirement for the comprehensive development of human beings,we keep thinking about the training objectives and discipline essence of science education.From the traditional education,we are deeply aware of the current situation that science education in primary and middle schools places less importance on knowledge than ability,more importance on result than process and more importance on discipline than synthesis.We doubt what students have left after what they learned in science classes,and worry more about how much science education will help students in their future social life.This study is based on the current science education concerns and the essence of education and the beginning of search,Through the literature analysis of "core literacy" and "subject-based learning" and the theoretical analysis of relevant educational psychology,the design principles,methods and approaches of junior high school science subject learning were put forward in combination with PBL learning model.Under the guidance of design principles,the theme "Water" is designed in five parts,including learning situation analysis,learning objectives,learning content,learning process and learning evaluation.This design was carried out in the sixth grade of Qingdao Middle School.According to the practical situation,the characteristics of the core learning design based on core literacy were summarized,and suggestions for improvement were put forward in combination with the problems in practice.This study draws the following conclusions:(1)Through the study of the theme "Water",students experience the process of inquiry based on problem solving without increasing the effect of class hours,and acquire relatively complete knowledge and experience,which shows that junior high school science subject learning is feasible.(2)Through practice analysis,the following characteristics of junior high school science theme learning design based on core literacy are summarized:(1)Learning situation co-construction;(2)Learning content integration;(3)Learning process negotiation;(4)Learning mode interactivit;(5)Learning to evaluate multidimensionality.(3)Based on practical issues,the following suggestions for the implementation of core literacy-based junior high school science topics are proposed:(1)Focus on knowledge transfer and thinking depth before and after experiments and activities;(2)Timing,ways and feedback to optimize evaluation;(3)Design blanks to promote generation and innovation.
