In recent years,with the rapid development of tennis in China,many colleges and universities have introduced tennis as a new project into the campus,and more and more students have joined the upsurge of tennis learning.However,because tennis has been set up for a relatively short time in Colleges and universities in China,there is no perfect theoretical system for the study of teaching methods under modern teaching concepts,and teaching methods mostly draw lessons from foreign tennis teaching methods or reference.In order to improve the quality of teaching,improve the current situation of teaching and explore the reform of tennis teaching method,this paper analyses and integrates the concept of spiral teaching method,puts forward a systematic spiral teaching method model of "laying down basic principles,mastering skills,applying specific environment and improving comprehensive ability",and at the same time,it also explores the content process of spiral teaching method.The teaching objectives and specific implementation steps in the field of skills are designed concretely.Meanwhile,the tennis experiment is carried out among the freshmen of non-sports majors in China University of Mining and Technology by means of teaching experiment,questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics.Through the control of single variable teaching method,the data before and after the experiment of spiral teaching method and traditional teaching method are analyzed and compared.The results show that: 1.The application of spiral teaching method and traditional teaching method in one semester teaching shows that there is no significant change in the physical quality of students in both classes before and after the semester,and there is no significant difference in the influence of spiral teaching method and traditional teaching method on the physical quality of students.2.Through the comparative analysis of the theoretical assessment results after the teaching experiment,it shows that the theoretical assessment results of the students in the experimental class are significantly higher than those of the control group.Spiral teaching method is conducive to students' mastery of the theoretical knowledge of tennis.3.Through the comparative analysis of the students' skill assessment results,it is found that the scores of forehand and backhand skills in the experimental class are higher than those in the control class and there are significant differences.There is no significant difference between the number of forehand and the control class,and the number of backhand skills in the experimental class is higher than that in the control class and there are significant differences,but the final comprehensive scores of the two classes are higher than that of the control class and there are significant differences.It shows that the spiral teaching method applied in college public tennis class can significantly improve students' tennis skills compared with the traditional teaching method.4.The experimental class using spiral teaching method has higher learning motivation,attitude and interest than the control group,which shows that spiral teaching method is more helpful to improve students' learning motivation and interest,and improve students' learning attitude.5.The comprehensive evaluation of the teaching effect of the spiral teaching method by the students in the experimental group is obviously better than that of the students in the control group.It shows that the spiral teaching method is more accepted by the students than the traditional teaching method.The intuitive feeling of the spiral teaching method is better than that of the traditional teaching method.
