With the deepening of curriculum reform,the comparison of teaching materials has become a research hotspot.Teaching material is an important carrier of teaching,and graphics and geometry is an important content of junior middle school mathematics teaching.The current "PEP-edition textbooks" and " HN-edition textbooks " have a great influence in our country,so the research of this topic has practical significance.This paper makes a detailed comparison between the current PEP-edition textbooks and the junior middle school mathematics textbook of HN-edition from the macroscopic aspects of "comprehensive characteristics","chapter arrangement","system characteristics" and the microcosmic aspects of "teaching material introduction method","teaching material illustration","teaching material narration","teaching material example" and "teaching material exercise".and then draw the main conclusions of this study:First,the macro level1.In terms of comprehensive features,the textbooks in the PEP-edition are more colorful and contain rich and interesting exploratory mathematical activities,the integration of mathematics history and mathematics teaching materials has done even better,mathematical ideas and cultural values have been well presented and penetrated,and it is worth learning from;The distribution of knowledge content in the HN-edition textbook is more detailed.Chapter titles are relatively interesting and closely related to life.Software such as geometric sketchpad and Excel have been well applied in the application of information technology.the mathematical thought and cultural value of the textbook were well presented and penetrated.2.In terms of chapter arrangement,the proportion of graphics and geometry in the PEP-edition textbook is basically the same as that in the textbook of HN-edition.But in the textbook of PEP-edition,the proportion is relatively high,knowledge point distribution is reasonable,the arrangement of the chapters in the textbooks presents both a linear structure and a spiral structure,rich and colorful,the teaching material has universal applicability,and is consistent with most students' psychological cognitive development situation.The detailed chapter arrangement of the textbook in the HN-edition shows a spiral structure.3.In terms of architecture,the architectures of the two versions of textbooks include fourmajor contents: introduction,main content,Chinese and English index and postscript of some mathematical vocabulary,indicating that the main body of the architectures of the two versions of textbooks are basically the same.There are three special columns in the teaching materials of the PEP-edition textbooks,namely "subject learning","experiment and inquiry" and "observation and conjecture",which relatively focus on the cultivation of students' mathematical abilities such as the inquiry ability.The teaching materials are conducive to the presentation of the generation process of knowledge and effectively guide students to actively construct new knowledge.The characteristic columns of the textbooks in HN-edition are "talk and talk","comprehensive and practice" and "mathematics and culture",which pay attention to the cultivation of students' logical reasoning ability,attach importance to students' operational ability and pay attention to the infiltration of mathematical culture.The knowledge system of the textbook is basic and typical.Second,the micro level1.These two versions of teaching materials are rarely introduced directly,but more use the introduction method of problem situation.However,the direct introduction method and review(analogy and induction)introduction method of the textbook in PEP-edition is far more than that of the textbook in HN-edition.The instroduction method of problem situation of the HN-edition textbooks is more than that of the PEP-edition textbooks with many life examples.The design of teaching materials is vivid and interesting,and interesting,and students' inerest in learning has been fully mobilized.2.The number of narrations of dial-and-hint in the textbook of HN-edition textbooks is more than that in the textbook of PEP-edition,and most of them are in the form of dialogue.There are more narrations of supplementary introduction and practice application in the PEP-edition textbooks,but both versions set a lot of exercises to consolidate what they have learned in time.The number of narrations of summarization in the two versions is basically the same,and the number of situational interesting narrations in the HN-edition textbooks is much larger than that in the PEP-edition textbooks.3.The total number of illustrations in the PEP-edition textbooks is less than that in the HN-edition textbooks,and the number of interesting illustrations is basically the same.The number of life illustrations in the textbook is a little larger than that in the HN-edition textbooks,with the illustrations in grade eight being the most.In the HN-edition textbooks the number of illustrations in grade eight is larger than that in grade seven and grade nine,among which the number of illustrations in grade seven is the smallest,and the number of illustrations in grade eight is also larger than that in grade nine.There is little difference in the number of illustrations of the two editions' textbooks from grade nine.4.The total number of examples in the textbook of HN-edition is nearly 50% larger than that in the textbook of PEP-edition.The examples in the two editions of textbooks are mostly examples without background,which is more than the sum of other types.Simple reasoning examples accounted for the largest proportion of the two editions textbooks.Examples of memorization and understanding are far more than the examples of inquiry level.5.The total number of exercises in the PEP-edition textbooks is much larer than that in the HN-edition textbook.The number of exercises in the PEP-edition textbooks accounts for more than 50% of the total number of exercises,and the number of exercises in the HN-edition textbooks also accounts for 47%.But the number of classroom exercises in the HN-edition textbooks is more than that in the PEP-edition textbooks.The exercises in the two editions textbooks are mainly for basic consolidation and understanding of knowledge.
