The purpose of this paper is to explore the differences and similarities between the integrity of mathematics teaching materials and the philosophical concepts of mathematics teaching between People's Education Edition and Kang Xuan Edition,so as to enrich the comparative research results of teaching materials in mainland and Taiwan area of China,and to provide some data support for the revision of teaching materials.For this reason,the author takes the mathematics textbook of People's Education Edition and Kang Xuan Edition as the research object,takes "figure and geometry" as example,and adopts the research method of content analysis and comparison method combined with quantitative description.The research questions are set as follows:(1)What are the similarities and differences in the overall teaching materials?(2)What are the similarities and differences in the philosophical concepts of mathematics education in teaching materials?The following research conclusions are obtained:(1)The summary and problem sets of People's Education Edition are more characteristic,and the chapter preface and key arrangement of Kang Xuan Edition are more characteristic;People's Education version of the expanded column is more rich,higher requirements;People's Edition and Kang Xuan Edition lack of organization and explanation illustrations;The difficulty of Kang Xuan Edition is greater than that of People's Education Edition.(2)Both the People's Education Edition and the Kang Xuan Edition embody the concepts of old humanism,technological pragmatism and progressive education.Based on the research conclusion,some Suggestions are put forward.(1)Add the summary of each section and the review of old knowledge in the preface of the chapter to set in the form of exercises,increase the organizational and explanatory illustrations,and increase the examples appropriately to reduce the difficulty of exercises.(2)Considering the research trend of the philosophy of mathematics education,it shows the importance of mathematics education from "life" to "mathematics".
