Based on the cultivation of the concept of life in the core of biological literacy,this paper attempts to introduce the BSCS 5E Instructional Model into the classroom in order to change the way of teaching and learning.The BSCS 5E Instructional Model can help students generate problem awareness and conflict awareness to stimulate interest,develop a scientific attitude of seeking truth and truth,and improve hands-on experiments and exploration capabilities.Finally,from the concept of life to achieve the cultivation of biological core literacy.This paper studies the literature related to the BSCS 5E instructional model and Concept of Life,and applies the theory to practice.This paper based on two questionnaire investigation to high school students' concept of life.The first survey to understand the understanding of the concept of life of high school students who are not exposed to biology,and analysis of students 'physical and chemical achievements as a reference(pre-test);through the experimental method of equal groups for a year to analyse the difference from the BSCS 5E instructional model and traditional teaching model ofthe four major concepts of life concept.The BSCS 5E instructional mode is emphatically analyzed.After modification and improvement,showing four matureinstructional design by the BSCS 5E instructional model focus on students' life concept,and summed up five steps ofattraction,inquiry,explanation,migration,evaluation in the BSCS 5E instructional model and Concept of Life.The second survey is conducted at the end of the second term of senior high school.During the questionnaire on the effect of the BSCS 5E instructional model and testing the student's comprehensive ability by understanding and application of concept of life of Senior High School Students,and their achievements were compared.And then using SPSS 22.0 to understand the students' opinions on it.Finally according to the research results and analysis,the influence of the BSCS 5E instructional on students 'learning is put forward.The results of the study conclude:(1)The BSCS 5E instructional model l has a positive correlation with the formation of student biological literacy.Using the BSCS5 E instructional model,students 'understanding of the concept of life has obviouslyincreased.Students' interest in learning biology,their love for the classroom,and their thinking abilities have also changed.At the same time,The idea of life formed by biology also has certain ability to migrate and can be applied to all aspects of life.(2)The teaching way of the BSCS 5E instructional model to cultivate students 'life concept.The BSCS 5E instructional model is used in the curriculum of high school biology and can optimize the traditional teaching model.The practical steps of this teaching model include five steps: attraction,exploration,interpretation,migration,evaluation,which provide reference for the design of high school biology teaching.(3)The BSCS 5E instructional model has a significant effect on the formation of students' concept of life.Although the formation of the concept of life is systematic and progressive,the unique link of the BSCS 5E instructional model integrates the concept of life into every step of teaching.
