"5E" instructional model originated in the Biological Sciences Curriculum Study and mainly advocated an inquiry teaching model,which is divided into five main links: engage,explore,explain,expand,evaluate.This paper attempts to apply the "5E" instructional model to biology teaching in senior high school in order to realize the core accomplishment of biology subject.Biology is a subject that attaches importance to the combination of theory and practice,and "inquiry" is an important way to carry out biology teaching.Through the development of inquiry activities,on the one hand,it is helpful for students to better understand biological knowledge,cultivate students' ability to analyze and solve problems,on the other hand,understand the process of scientific inquiry,and gradually cultivate students' spirit of scientific inquiry and social responsibility.This converges with the biology core competences(life concept,scientific thinking,scientific inquiry,social responsibility)required by General High School Biology Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition).Therefore,the application of "5E" instructionalmodel in biology teaching is beneficial to cultivate students' biology core competences and realize all-round development.By consulting relevant literature,this paper combs the relevant research on the application of "5E" instructional model in biology teaching in senior high school.Based on this,according to the characteristics of students,the content characteristics of high school biology teaching materials,and the equipment conditions of practical schools,this paper selects the contents of four classes to carry out the practical research of "5E" instructional model.At random,two parallel classes were selected,one class was used as the control class,the traditional teaching mode was implemented,and the other class implemented the "5E" instructional model.Teaching practice research is mainly divided into three steps.First,the teaching content is designed in detail;secondly,the "5E" instructional model is applied to the classroom;finally,the teaching effect is evaluated and tested.The evaluation method of practical teaching effect is mainly to compile a set of test papers to test the achievement of biology core competences,and then to investigate the students' biological interest and other basic biological literacy through questionnaire.this study mainly uses the spss 17.0 to carry on the statistics and the analysis to the research result data.By studying and analyzing the data of experimental class and control class in questionnaire,it is found that "5E" instructional model caneffectively improve students' interest and enthusiasm in learning biology,and to a certain extent improve students' basic literacy in biology;By comparing and analyzing the data of the core literacy test in the experimental class and the control class,we find that there are significant differences between the experimental class and the control class in the scientific inquiry dimension,and there is no significant difference in the three dimensions of life concept,scientific thinking and social responsibility.By comparing the average scores of each dimension of the experimental class and the control class,it is found that the "5E" instructional model can cultivate the students' core literacy in biology to a certain extent,but it is not obvious in improving the significance of the students' core literacy in biology,and needs more in-depth and continuous research. |
