At present,with the rise of the field of creativity,research in specific areas has become a major trend in creativity research.The study of science and engineering is a specific field.The creativity of students in the professional field is fundamentally different from the general creativity.Therefore,it is necessary to conduct special research on the creativity of science and engineering college students.Traditional research on creativity mostly starts from four perspectives: creative thinking,creative personality,creative products and creative environment,using mature tools or self-edited tools to carry out research;but its focus is on creative potential rather than real performance,so it can not truly reflect the realistic performance of creativity of science and engineering students.In addition,environment and creativity can predict creativity,but the mechanism of environmental impact on creativity and the relationship between them need further verification.Based on this,this study will examine the creativity of science and engineering students from the perspective of realistic performance,and also examine the influence mechanism of environment and motivation on the creativity performance of science and engineering students.This research will be carried out from three aspects: first,to develop a set of research tools to measure the creativity performance of science and engineering students;second,to investigate and analyze the current situation of creativity performance of science and engineering students;third,to explore the relationship between environment,motivation and creativity performance.In the specific research,we use the self-compiled questionnaire of creativity performance of science and engineering students,the scale of learning motivation of university students and the questionnaire of College Innovation Environment to investigate and analyze the present situation of creativity performance,and discuss the relationship between the three and the mechanism of environmental impact creativity performance.Finally,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)The Creativity Performance Scale for Science and Engineering Students is a three-dimensional structural model,which includes three dimensions: learning innovation,social activity innovation and scientific and technological innovation.It has good reliability and validity indicators and can be used for group measurement.(2)The creative performance of science and engineering students in learning is at the upper and middle level,while the total score of social activity innovation and creative performance is close to the middle level,and the level of scientific and technological innovation is the lowest and on the low side.In terms of creativity,especially learning innovation and technological innovation,985 universities are superior to 211 universities,and experimental classes are superior to ordinary classes.Boys are significantly higher than girls in learning innovation and technological innovation.With the gradual increase of grade,the level of creativity performance of science and engineering students has gradually increased.The better the family economic conditions,the higher the score ranking,the higher the level of creativity performance of science and engineering students.(3)Science and engineering students can stimulate strong internal motivation and external motivation in learning,work,social activities and scientific research,and compared with external motivation,internal motivation has a higher level;The better the innovative environment in Colleges and universities,the more conducive to the performance of creativity of science and engineering students.In particular,task challenges and adequate resources have a positive predictive effect on the creativity performance of science and engineering students.However,curriculum support has a negative predictive effect on social activity innovation.The innovative environment in Colleges and universities can not only directly affect the creative performance of science and engineering students,but also indirectly affect the creative performance of science and engineering students through the intermediary role of internal motivation.The mediating effect of external motivation is not significant,which indicates that environmental factors can not affect the creativity performance of science and engineering students through external motivation.
