In the process of physics teaching arousing students' learning motivation is not only an important guarantee for the remarkable academic achievement but also an important approach to cultivating students' affective attitude and values which bear the permanent charm in education .based on the basic theories of motivation guided by the requirement of the new academic courses reform this paper progressively elucidates teachers' role which they ought to play in the physics teaching and status which they are located in .Simultaneously by conducting an effective survey among the physics learners in the city of suizhou concerned and practically taking the relevant measures this paper focuses on arousing students' motivation from two perspectives which involve the external motivation and the internal motivation. When the students' motivation is aroused top priority should be given to the internal one instead of the external one .In the process of arousing the internal motivation great importance should be attached to the definite study goal .At the same time taking physics intrinsic features into consideration teachers should bring physics experiment into the important play improve students' experiment making capacity depending on the diversified channels ,cultivate students' participating spirit and ability for the sake of upgrading student' study interest and academic achievement therefore push the dominant role of the classroom teaching to a higher level. Students' internal motivation can be set off by using multimedia teaching to lower teaching difficulty and gain wonderful teaching outcome moreover by utilizing the exceptionally beautiful things of physics and the interesting physics history. In terms of arousing students' external motivation the fed-back information should be majorly used to make appropriate assessment and due reward and punishment for the purpose of maintaining the external motivation .On the other hand the class implementing environment ought to be established availably and emulation ought to be handled tangibly .In conclusion a couple of terms' practice and experiment have seen some achievements in arousing students' motivation .It has been proved that arousing students' study motivation contributes to promoting students' academic record cultivating ideal emotions which are the necessary guarantee for students' overall development .If the idea emotions are empathized on many occasions.
