Study On The Impact Of Human Capital On Competitiveness Of Service Trade

At present,the import and export of China's service trade are mainly concentrated in the eastern region.What is the driving force behind the rapid development of service trade in the eastern region? Domestic and foreign scholars find that human capital is the key factor affecting the competitiveness of service trade.Therefore,this paper analyzes the impact of human capital and its structure on service trade competitiveness based on relevant data of 9 provinces and cities in eastern China from 2003 to 2016.Based on porter's diamond model theory,this paper analyzes and summarizes the mechanism of human capital's influence on service trade competitiveness.Then,this paper makes a comparative analysis of the current situation of service trade competitiveness,human capital and its structure of provinces and cities in eastern China.In the empirical analysis part,this paper takes the proxy variable of human capital and its structure as the explanatory variable,using service trade exports and competitiveness index as dependent variable,and then through the porter's competitive advantage theory to select the relevant control variables,using fixed effect panel data model to analyze the human capital in east China and its impact on the competitiveness of service trade.The study finds that the overall average human capital in eastern China is always the most critical factor affecting the competitiveness of service trade.On the other hand,this paper will be divided into three different types of human capital.It is found that the higher the proportion of senior human capital in the employment in eastern China,the greater the export volume of services will be.The higher the proportion of medium and low human capital,the smaller the export scale of service trade.It is also found that the influence of human capital factors on service trade competitiveness is different between provinces and cities in eastern China.
