Curriculum resource, together with the school-based curriculum and research study, is main contents in our basic educational curriculum innovation.The exploration of curriculum resources plays an important role in the new kind of curriculum innovation, which is able to improve our education and teaching quality.The reasonable application of curriculum resources will prompt the cirriculum innovation, and make the basic educational courses be achieved earlier. For the moment, when realizing the new curriculum plan, we should change our new view of curriculum resource, and combine it with the school courses to serve the education better.For the moment, the scholars who are researching the local biology resource have achieved much in their study, however, coastal cities seem different from the inland in economy, atmosphere and population structure, so their issues on the exploration of curriculum resources must be special.we must focus our researches about exploring the biology curriculum resources on something special to compensate the vacancy. This thesis will research the exploration and application of curriculum resource to find the traffic advantage of the coastal places, take Beihai city as example, and emphasize the individualism of biology resources. Thus, the senior school biology courses will be more sufficient.At the same time, other coastal cities will find a researching guideline.This thesis uses ways of literature research, resource survey, case analysis and so on. It learns the latest developments in utilization of biological curriculum resources and local literature to understand the local geographical location and resource characteristics. By interviewing method, this thesis also learns the local maintaining biology resources. There is a set of survey forms, including the objects as school, teachers and students.The survey showed, the biological course resources development in Beihai City are not made good use of:first, the consciousness of teacher curriculum resources development is weak, resulting in a large number of curriculum resources are idle and waste. Second, the development and utilization of curriculum resources failed to change teaching methods, learning effect. Finally, by the college entrance examination baton,biology curriculum is difficult to get the attention of school, teachers and students. Through the interview we discover, teachers on the teaching material, multimedia,network and other common biological laboratory and resources also failed to rational use.The status of the understanding on the basis of the application study, which shows how to reasonably use the intramural and extramural curriculum resources, and combines with the school-based curriculum to developed some cases.For Guangxi, the curriculum reform has just started, in the efforts of the research, research on the biology curriculum resources in Beihai city has begun. And the teachers are lack of the consciousness, ability and the recognition for the development of biology course resources. Then how to change the concept of teachers, training teachercurriculum resources development and utilization to pave the way for new curriculum reform is worth studying.Investment on the curriculum resource meets a lot difficulties for the fact that Biology do not belong to a big category.Though Beihai city has a variety of biological course resources, the key lies in how to use and develop the biology curriculum resource in the coastal areas.With the help of the study,the related researches on the biology curriculum resources in Beihai city begin to take off, but due to the limited time and personal ability and limited energy, the author failed to put the development and utilization of Beihai’s biology curriculum resources to a deeper level. And the study exits some shortcomings:First, there is still no significant classification on coastal characteristics curriculum resources; Second,the research does not have enough stress on the significances that the biological species with Beihai characteristic have in the biology curriculum; Third, a further and more detail research on the development and proper utilization of biology curriculum resources is needed.
