| In recent years,STEM education has made great breakthroughs in theoretical research, teaching methods, curriculum construction and other fields, and has been discussed from simple theory to practical exploration in line with the actual development of education in China under the impetus of a series of national macro policies, and the joint efforts of experts and scholars and frontline teachers in primary and secondary schools. Some learning methods adopted in STEM education such as inquiry learning,project-based learning and problem-oriented learning style are of great significance in stimulating high-order thinking such as student participation, inquiry ability, critical thinking and creative thinking.Collaborative Problem solving learning,as a new way of learning, emphasizes that the concepts of teamwork, problem orientation and project-based learning which are consistent with STEM teaching concepts, and the effective combination of the two will help to enrich and improve the traditional STEM teaching model design,However, how to integrate the collaborative problem solving theory with STEM interdisciplinary design effectively, and how to design related courses and carry out teaching practice still need further research.Based on this, this paper designs the STEM teaching mode based on the theory of collaborative problem solving and STEM education theory and compares the difference of teaching practice between STEM teaching mode based on collaborative problem solving and traditional Inquiry learning mode through empirical research.First of all,the author expounds the concept definition and research status analysis of STEM education, collaborative problem solving ability and collaborative problem solving learning, and focuses on combing the research status of STEM teaching mode design, expounds the feasibility and research basis of the current collaborative problem solving application in STEM teaching by reading a large number of literature.Secondly,on the basis of analyzing the fitness between the theory of collaborative problem solving and STEM education, the STEM teaching mode based on collaborative problem solving is constructed, which is more concerned with the design of problem tasks, the design of collaborative strategy and teaching resource design such as work evaluation scale and learning task list than the traditional STEM inquiry learning mode.Afterwards,we select the content of "shape and structure" of science in the six grade of primary school, and design the STEM course"bridge" on the basis of the STEM teaching mode based on collaborative problem solving, and carries out the teaching practice for 12 weeks in the primary school of Central China Science and Technology University. At last,we carry out qualitative and quantitative data analysis and assess the impact of STEM teaching model based on collaborative problem solving on the ability of primary school students to solve the problem, and comprehensively evaluate the application effect of STEM teaching mode based on collaborative problem solving through the questionnaire survey, classroom observation and interview to collect data in the process of implementation. At last,we comprehensively evaluate the model application effect and give suggestions for improvement.Through quasi-experimental research, investigation and research methods, this paper uses questionnaires, classroom observation scale, interview outline and other research tools to carry out a comprehensive analysis of research data and student works. Finally,we draw some conclusions as the following:1.STEM teaching model based on collaborative problem solving can significantly improve students’ability of collaborative problem solving;2.The STEM teaching model based on collaborative problem solving has significant advantages over the traditional inquiry learning model.3.The team with stronger ability of the collaborative problem solving has the better produced work. |
