With the development of the times,the country's demand for compound innovative talents has gradually increased.Design learning will incorporate the creative activity of "design" throughout the whole process of learning.STEM education integrates multi-disciplinary knowledge,strengthens the cultivation of students' innovative ability,and is committed to cultivate innovative talents.But during the internship process,the author found that Bit Lab's teaching does not have a fixed teaching mode.Teachers are accustomed to adopting the traditional teaching mode through knowledge transfer,that has little effect on students' ability to cultivate innovation and it is difficult to take advantage of Bit Lab's own environmental advantages.Based on the summary of design-based learning,STEM education and Bit lab,this study understands the current research situation and constructs a design-based STEM teaching model.Taking "intelligent light sense alarm clock" as an example,this paper introduces the concrete flow of the model and the detailed items of each flow,helps teachers to explore the teaching flow of the BIT lab,and lets students master other knowledge which can not be taken into account in a single subject,at the same time enhance the sense of team cooperation in hands-on operation,stimulate creativity in thinking collision,and provide some reference for future teaching and research in bit lab.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)the STEM teaching model based on design enriches the teaching cases under the Bit Laboratory,and provides reference for the front-line teachers to teach in the bit laboratory.(2)the teaching effect of the design-based STEM teaching model is carried out from three aspects:cultivating students'creativity,cooperative learning,programming knowledge and skills,data analysis shows that students'creativity,collaborative learning and programming knowledge are all improved,but the improvement is not high.(3)adopting Lin Chongde's scientific creativity test for teenagers,it is found that the teaching activities in Bitlab can promote students' creativity.
