| STEM is the abbreviation of four disciplines:Science,Technology,Engineering and Mathematics.As a new form of interdisciplinary fusion,STEM education embodies the idea of emphasizing the development of competence and paying attention to practical application in the background of new curriculum reform.It aims to stimulate students interest in science and engineering,exercise and improve students’ STEM comprehensive literacy by solving STEM disciplinary problems or realistic problems through exploring,experiencing,project-basing and problem-basing,and ultimately promote to cultivate innovative and entrepreneurial talents in our country.STEM literacy mainly refers to the students’ comprehensive performance of relevant knowledge,thinking,ability and attitude in dealing with STEM problems.It is the basic objective of STEM education and a key ability for students in the 21st century.In the implementation of STEM teaching,learning activities should be designed to fully reflect the characteristics of STEM education,and allow students to explore and make on their own in the resource-rich learning environment,in order to maximize the development of students’ STEM comprehensive literacy.According to the existing research,there has not yet formed a relatively perfect STEM instruction model with some authority.This study uses the design-based research method as a whole.First of all,through a large number of relevant literature research,the research status of STEM education and STEM teaching model at home and abroad are sort out and summarized.Secondly,based on the deep analysis of the concept and composition of the STEM literacy,and according to the characteristics of STEM education,the STEM literacy framework is analyzed and put forward.Then,on this basis,designing and constructing the STEM education general model applied to classroom teaching from the perspective of cultivating students STEM literacy.Finally,a concrete course is taken as an example,and the STEM teaching model is modified by iteration experiment,and its feasibility is verified.A lot of data from students’ works,questionnaires,interviews with teachers and students,and students’ classroom performance show that STEM teaching model can better exercise and develop students’ related STEM ability and attitude,which can play a positive role in the cultivation of students’ STEM comprehensive literacy. |
