Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China have suffered from the aggression of Western powers.The advanced intellectuals learned that lagging behind leaves one vulnerable to attacks,so they have gone abroad to learn advanced Western ideas.Therefore,during the period of the Republic of China,advanced intellectuals who gone to the United States to study and made certain contributions to the reform and development of modern Chinese education,we call it Educators who learned in the America.The formation of this group has its specific background and historical reasons.Through the exploration and analysis of the growth and formation process of the group,we can summarize the four stages of group growth.What's more,we can analyze the composition of educators studying in the America in the Republic of China from the perspective of social origin,educational background,overseas study experience and career,obtain the social structure characteristics of the group,lays the social structure foundation for the formation of group learning view system,and make their learning view system similar.On this basis,it summarizes that the group has formed a learning view system,the system includes that the learning purpose of saving the nation,the learning subject of the whole people,the learning content of the combination of Chinese and Western cultures,the learning methodology of scientific democracy,the learning attitude of seeking truth and being pragmatic.At the same time,taking Jiang Menglin as a case,further explore the value and significance of the learning,the methods and means of learning,the attitude and psychology of the learning,the environment and conditions of the learning,etc.It sums up the characteristics of the learning view system of this group,such as salvation,purity,practicality,democracy and science.It discusses the historical influence,such as the formation of the modern youth learning system,the reform of higher education,and the development of the new cultural movement,the development of the Republic of China's education modernization.What's more,the learning view system of this group also provides some important reference values,such as the development of the youth learning system,the development of a learning society,and the further realization of educational modernization,and the promotion of building a strong educational country.It has further enriched and developed the research system of the history of learning thought in modern times.
