This paper aims to investigate the current situation of mobile phone dependence and self-control,and deeply discussed the relationship of mobile phone dependence,self-control and academic performance,then suggest intervention countermeasures for students' mobile phone dependence and self-control,and provide a theory basis for improving academic performance for junior middle school students.This research mainly adopts questionnaire method.By using the Middle School Student Mobile Phone Dependency Scale and the Middle School Students Self-Control Ability Questionnaire,we can measure the mobile phone dependence and self-control ability of junior middle school students,what's more,by using the standard scores of Chinese,math,English,liberal art synthesis and science synthesis scores,we can indicates academic performance.All the data is analyzed by the software SPSS(version of 23.0)and AMOS(version of 21.0).The following are the results:(1)The main functions of using mobile phones for middle school students are chatting and entertainment.mobile phone dependence in the research is not serious and only accounts for 9.1%.(2)There is no gender difference but significant differences in grade,years of using mobile phones and the daily average time of mobile phone using.And the daily average time of mobile phones using on weekends can positively forecast mobile phone dependence.(3)The self-control level of junior middle school students is generally good and behavioral self-control level is the best.Significant differences exist in both gender and the daily average time of mobile phone using among junior middle school students.There is grade difference in behavioral self-control dimension of self-control.(4)A negative correlation exists between middle school students' mobile phone dependence and self-control.Different dimensions of mobile phone dependence can negatively forecast self-control.There is obvious negative correlation between mobile phone dependence and academic performance.Compulsive dimension of mobilephone dependence can negatively forecast academic performance.While a positive correlation exists in self-control and academic performance.Self-control dimension of self-control behavior can positively forecast academic performance.(5)Self-control of middle school students plays a complete mediating role in the relationship between mobile phone dependence and academic performance.
