A Survey On Kokang’s Use And Attitude Of Chinese In Raxu.Myanmar

The Kokang ethnic group,or Kokang Han nationality,is one of the 135 ethnic groups in Myanmar,mainly in the Old Street and Laxu region of northern Myanmar.From the Hongwu years of the Ming Dynasty,Han Chinese people have been flowing into and settling down here.This paper chooses the direction of language use and language attitude from the perspective of sociolinguistics,based on the actual situation of my teaching as a volunteer of Hanban in the Raxu Guowen Middle School.Three kinds of language use and language attitude of Guokang nationality students in four Chinese language schools were investigated.Language attitude is a dynamic psychological process,which is closely related to language use.Therefore,the study of language attitude and language use It is of great significance to the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.Taking advantage of the one-year teaching practice in Raxu Middle School in Myanmar,the author made use of the methods of literature investigation,field survey,questionnaire survey,statistical analysis and so on,and took the Guokang students from four Chinese schools in Rasuxu City as the research crowd,and made a comprehensive use of the methods of literature investigation,field survey,questionnaire survey,statistical analysis,etc.This paper investigates the language background,the current situation of language use and language attitudes of Kokang students,and analyzes the influence of different gender,age,identity and social background factors,such as Chinese education and Burmese education,on the Chinese language attitude of Kokang students.This paper discusses the relationship between Chinese language ability and language attitude,and on the basis of this,ponders the development of local Chinese teaching.The research shows that,as a city inhabited by Guokang,Guokang students mainly use Chinese dialect,and Burmese and Putonghua are auxiliary in language use.In the aspect of attitude,students’ attitudes towards three languages were positively correlated.The more positive the language attitude of Putonghua was,the more positive the language attitude of Chinese dialect and Burmese language was,the more positive was the attitude of Chinese dialect language and Burmese language.Through the study,it is found that the Chinese language attitudes of Kokang students show different language attitudes in terms of gender,age,identity,and Chinese/Burmese learning.Finally,according to the specific situation of the investigation,this paper summarizes and reflects on the investigation,and provides reference to the Chinese language teaching in this area.A textual opinion.
