China's education can be summarized as "textbook education",in which students are nurtured in terms of all of their cognition,affection,volition,logos and non-logos,such as knowledge,morality,thinking methods,position of judging,feelings and association,basically according to the tendency of the content and teaching methods of the textbook,with awareness or unawareness.Students receive,more often than not,a "receptive learning"in classrooms and hold the view that "knowledge is what teachers teach students".Students regard teachers'and textbooks'standardized understanding as the judging standard.They are lack of,or rather,afraid to have critical understanding and reflection on teaching content.This is the painful root of China's education.The essence of education is not indoctrination,nor is it simply the study of declarative knowledge.The essence of education is the art of speech.Teaching materials should be the aid of teacher-student communication,rather than its content and rules.The main research object of the thesis is junior middle school Chinese textbooks.The author conducted the teaching and the research in Cambodia,Indonesia,Myanmar and other countries,with native students and teachers possessing a moderately high Chinese level as research collaborators,who gave their understanding of the meaning of some texts from the Chinese junior middle school textbooks,which includes the understanding of the content of the texts,the significance of education and the moral connotation in the texts.After returning to China,he conducted the same research with domestic graduate students.This study aims to discover the general thinking on text comprehension and processing of domestic Chinese textbooks.From the perspecti-ve of hermeneutics,with the understanding of the teachers and students at home and abroad in terms of the junior middle school Chinese textbooks as research material,on the basis of summing up general characteristics,the study provides another way to look at China's textbooks.The thesis interprets texts in the perspective of criticism and reflection on the texts of the Chinese textbooks,to show the text value,different education positions,and the extensive meaning of the text value,and then discuss the intrinsic meaning of the spirit of Chinese education.Students and teachers at home and abroad study the Chinese textbooks,and reveal the whole picture of the Chinese language textbooks and Chinese education as much as possible.The similarities and differences between Chinese and foreign groups'understanding on the content of teaching materials are in the aspects of life value pursuit,self-cognition attitude,text image cognition,content expression,and role content understanding.The essence of Chinese spirit is to construct the education thinking of criticism and reflection,the open education image and the return of the text value itself.
