School-based curriculum development is an important part of the new curriculum reform in China.In the proposal of the elective course "Biology Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2017 Edition)",the author puts forward the suggestion of setting up the module of "Animal Welfare","Animal Welfare Education in the Biology Curriculum System is of great significance to popularizing the concept of animal welfare,cultivating students' values of respecting life and caring for animals",and setting up the school-based course of "Animal Welfare" is of great significance to the development of students' students It is of positive significance to realize the core accomplishment of biology and the goal of moral education.This research combs out the theoretical research related to school-based curriculum development by using literature analysis method,and designs the development process of school-based curriculum of "animal welfare",including the following steps: environmental analysis before school-based curriculum development,curriculum goal setting,curriculum content selection,curriculum implementation and curriculum evaluation.The feasibility of offering school-based course of animal welfare in L middle school was obtained by using the method of investigation.At the same time,the students' learning needs were questionnaires.The results of the analysis of students' needs were taken as the reference basis for curriculum objective setting,curriculum implementation and curriculum evaluation.Finally,taking the selected students as the research object,this paper evaluates the students' learning,and obtains the change of students' animal welfare knowledge and concept.It aims to cultivate students' attitudes and values of "respecting life and caring for animals",improve students' core biological literacy,and then have a positive impact on the implementation of the educational goal of "cultivating people by virtue".The results show that the school-based course of animal welfare has achieved the expected curriculum objectives and achieved good educational and teaching results.The following conclusions are drawn: the implementation of the curriculum has a positive impact on students' concept of animal welfare;"animal welfare" school-based curriculum is suitable for L high school classroom;"animal welfare" school-based curriculum in high school promotes communication and communication between teachers and students;"animal welfare" school-based curriculum in high school promotes the improvement of teachers' professional level;"animal welfare" school-based curriculum enriches the types of biology school-based curriculum.
