Research On The Application Of Asset-based Community Development Model In Anti-poverty

The community development model has transformed from "needs-based" to "asset-based" because of the challenges brought by globalization,the inadequacy of needs-based model and strengths perspective and other factors.Asset-based community development model emphasizes community strengths and potential,put the main focus of community development on community self-solution and self-development to enhance the endogenous power of community development.At present,many successful practices have fully proved that the model plays a positive role in promoting community development,but majority of the cases gather in the areas with relatively strong economic foundations.In contrast,the practice in poverty areas is relatively deficient,experience still exists inadequacy.Based on the practice in the 2018 social work educational poverty alleviation demonstration project,the author carries out field study on the application of asset-based community development model in poverty areas.The author mainly used participant observation and interview to collect data,through the analysis and collation,the author finds that there are inadequacies in the application of asset-based community development model in poverty areas,so it needs to expand its external connections.Research on the value of asset-based community development model in poverty areas is not only a sociological subject,but also related to the effectiveness of national anti-poverty work.Although this paper is based on one case,its in-depth analysis can be seen from the micro.Previous researches on asset-based community development model are mainly based on the practice in developed areas,and they pay close attention to community internal connections,such as community relations network,community organization construction and so on.However,it is proved that for poverty areas,the application of asset-based community development model should not only focus on community internal connections,but also its external connections.,because the resource endowment,market position and transportation conditions in poverty areas are greatly different from those in developed areas.As for how to expand the external connection in poverty areas,the author thinks that it needs to be carried out from the following three aspects: firstly,innovate propaganda methods with the help of new media;secondly,simulate the urban-rural cooperation pattern of Mr.Zhang heqing,promote the direct cooperation between consumers and producers,and reduce the middleman link;thirdly,links all the resources,cooperates with the government,market and other entities,unite forces from all sectors of society to help poverty areas get rid of poverty,and develop a bond between resource endowment of community and the market.
