Research On Social Integration Of Centralized Support For Orphan Adulthood

How can Orphans who grow up in the mode of centralized support integrate smoothly from a relatively closed residential environment into the overall social environment? This is a topic worth paying attention to and thinking about.Orphans are the most difficult and weakest groups in society,most in need of care.The state has established a system to protect and safeguard the rights and interests of orphans.In 1991,the Law of the people’s Republic of China on the Protection of minors and the adoption Law of the people’s Republic of China were promulgated to ensure the healthy growth of underage orphans.However,for orphans who leave welfare institutions after adulthood to enter the society,whether they can integrate smoothly into society deserves our attention,and what difficulties will they encounter in social integration? Little attention has been paid by the academic community.The academic research on orphan mainly focuses on the minor orphan,and the main research is the minor orphan.Issues such as the upbringing of children with disabilities and rehabilitation treatment for orphans with disabilities.From the policy point of view,the policy of the adult orphan who enters the society is mainly reflected in the resettlement,and the lack of systematic written laws and regulations.From the literature of social integration research,the main body of current research focus on migrant workers,floating children,lonely elderly and other groups.This paper mainly studies the social integration of orphans who grow up and grow up under the mode of centralized support.In the project of orphan support in H District of Weifang City,Shandong Province,the author interviewed 15 orphans aged 18 years and 40 years old,investigated the present situation of their lives,and analyzed the difficulties they encountered in integrating into society.Based on the theory of life course,the theory of social exclusion and the theory of social capital,this paper investigates the current situation of the integration of adult orphans in the aspects of economy,social life,ideology and culture,and then analyzes the reasons for the difficulties in their social integration based on the theory of life course,social exclusionand social capital.And the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward.In this study,literature research,semi-structured interview and field investigation were used to investigate the social integration of adult orphans.The author believes that in order to integrate orphans into the social environment in adulthood,it needs the joint efforts of welfare institutions,government,community and social forces from all walks of life.The government should make efforts to perfect and implement the policy,and the welfare institution should reform and perfect the present mode of raising,increase the family function,and inject personality impetus into the growth of orphan’s physical and mental health.The whole society should strengthen the guidance of public opinion to promote the inclusion of orphan groups,and the community should strengthen the community organization construction of community culture.Pay attention to the group of adult orphans,create an enabling community,provide appropriate services for marriage,love and social integration of adult orphans,and enhance the social capital of orphans.
