| Innovation plays an important role in national development,national progress and personal advancement.How to use the classroom to improve students’ core literacy,people have been thinking and exploring.Patterns are emerging and methods are being updated.The STEAM curriculum,which integrates five disciplines of science,technology,engineering,art and mathematics,has become a way to improve students’ core literacy.Based on the concept of STEAM curriculum,based on the existing scattered examples of STEAM curriculum,this paper designs the school-based curriculum-the new classroom-for the purpose of improving students’ core literacy.The establishment of this course is divided into six levels and six chapters according to the characteristics of the students’ grades.From low to high,they are: nursery rhymes,stories,ancient poems,fine embroidery,Silk Road articles,and exploration and discovery articles.At present,students in the fourth grade are used as experimental subjects.Through the study of the STEAM course for one semester,through the comparison of the two questionnaires at the beginning of the semester and the end of the semester and the level of student works,the improvement of student core literacy is objectively seen.The contents of the study include:(1)Integration of mathematical culture.(2)The formation of a curriculum system.(3)The initial formation of the "five links" teaching model of "new and new classrooms".(4)Participate in the initial construction of the network platform.(5)Initial Establishment of Student Archives.(6)Initial Establishment of an Evaluation Programme.Since the localization of the STEAM course requires a process,the implementation of the entire course currently belongs to the initial stage.After one semester of study,the students’ core literacy has indeed been improved.However,there are also some problems in the implementation process,and the content and form need to be further improved and improved.According to the research content,the following main research methods are determined: literature research method,investigation research method,case study method and data analysis method.The research process includes:(1)Obtain relevant materials for STEAM teaching through research literature,analyze and summarize the current research situation at home and abroad,and propose the significance of this research.(2)In natural form,materials that reflect students’ core qualities are collected through interviews,questionnaires,investigation meetings and tests.According to students’ performance and achievements in the learning process,the content of the course is taught to students in a relatively reasonable way.(3)Through the study and learning of related theories,the representative cases and lesson examples are studied,and after summing up,a suitable teaching model for this course is established.(4)Through the analysis of mean,deviation value and the hypothesis test of mean value,it is explained that after one semester of study,students’ core literacy has been improved. |
