As a basic subject,Chinese has the humanistic and instrumental features that cannot be matched by other subjects.Therefore,Chinese teaching is of great importance,and it also makes the compilation of Chinese teaching materials of great significance.In order to perfect Chinese language education in China and meet the needs of the times,the new textbooks edited by the Ministry of Education are gradually put into use.In this context,it is particularly important to compare Chinese textbooks for lower grades in primary school compiled by the Ministry of Education with those edited by the People's Education Press.The Chinese textbooks compiled by the Ministry of Education have been put into use on a large scale since 2017.This edition is quite different from the original textbooks published by the People's Education Press.It adheres to a more advanced writing concept and strives to better achieve the training objectives in the Chinese Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education.However,whether the new textbooks or the old ones,in order to achieve the ideal teaching objectives,we must fully understand the characteristics of the textbooks.The use of new teaching materials also requires a period of run-in,so that teachers can transition from the old teaching system to the new one and make better use of the features of the new teaching materials.Comparing the Chinese textbooks edited by the Ministry with those edited by the People's Educational Press,it can make the front-line teachers have a clearer understanding of the characteristics of the new textbooks,and let them explore the teaching strategies and methods in the actual teaching more effectively.The whole paper is divided into five chapters.Chapter one mainly describes the process of topic selection,the purpose and significance of the research,the current research status of this kind of research in the academic circles,and the scope and methods of the research.Chapter two mainly writes the compiling background and concept of the Chinese textbook compiled by the Ministry of Education.Chapter three mainly compares the two editions of textbooks from listening,speaking,reading,writing and text layout.Chapter four mainly writes the differences between the two editions in the aspect of study-aiding system.Chapter five mainly discusses the characteristics of the two textbooks and their guiding significance for primary school teaching.By comparing the differences in the selection and compilation of the new textbooks and the textbooks published by the People's Education Press,this paper finds out the differences in the specific teaching content,the texts included,the teaching assistant system and so on,and the characteristics of the new textbooks in the lower grades of primary school are also analyzed as a whole.At the same time,it puts forward some suggestions and opinions on the teaching of front-line teachers and the specific use of new teaching materials.It is helpful to fully understand the characteristics of the new textbook and explore its teaching effect.
