High school belongs to the category of senior secondary education.It regards as a tie between compulsory and higher education.With the development of society,high schools are blooming,but at the same time,there are also urgent problems that need to be solved in senior high school,one of which is dropout.High school is not in the scope of compulsory education.High school students drop out of school is not as highly concerned as nine years of compulsory education.It also hinders the development of education and affect the progress of society.It can’t be ignored.Especially those with rural residency,it is not easy to for them go to high school.If they have to leave school because of various reasons,which is not only a major event that affects its own development,but also a major event that affects the long-term development of education of the whole country.This study takes the Wenshan city of Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Wenshan in Yunnan Province as the field survey site.The sample school is the NO.2 middle school in Wenshan City,which is one of the three high schools in Wenshan city.The characteristic of the sample school is that it is located in the city,but the majority of its high school students come from the countryside.The students,who with rural residency,came to the city to continue their studies,but part of them dropped out.The number of dropouts of rural students far exceeded urban students.Through interviewing with dropouts and their parents and teachers of the second year of the sample school,makes a real and comprehensive survey of the influential factors of the dropout of the students who with rural residency study in the urban school in NO.2 middle schools in Wenshan.From six angles of personal,school,family,society,comprehensive factors and emergencies,this paper makes an overall investigation and analysis of the dropout situation of rural high school students in NO.2 middle schools in Wenshan.Based on the interviews of four typical cases study of the dropout of the students who with rural residency study in the urban school,analyzing the reasons of their dropouts,including personal psychology and individual,family,management of school and teacher and comprehensive factors.The following suggestions are drawn:In the face of the new learning and living environment,the parents,teachers and schools should care the mental health of the students who with rural residency study in the urban school.The parents and teachers should help them sincerely when they are in trouble or come across difficulties.The government and the society should increase the help and guidance to the economic difficulties of the rural family.And schools and education department should set aside the back roads for the dropouts who come to study in the urban with rural residency.
