Comforting The Fragile

Nowadays,cancer has always been a difficult problem in medical treatment.Tens of thousands of patients suffer from the pain and lose valuable life every year.The advanced cancer patients face a series of psychosocial problems,such as severe living burden,poor psychological condition,weak interpersonal relationship and doctor-patient relationship conflict,which greatly reduced the quality of life and precious life time.Based on empowerment theory and the theory of ecosystem,the researcher carried out group work research on advanced cancer patient with questionnaires,interviews and participatory observation.First of all,they analyze the team members’ common needs and confusion,then focus on four aspects of emotional adjustment,improvement of family relationships,solving the contradiction between doctors and patients,and advocating the culture of hospice in the whole life cycle from the establishment to the end of.Secondly,the service effect is evaluated by the interview statement and before-after measurement.The results prove the effectiveness of social workers’ services.Reflecting on the practical group work research,the whole service will encounter various problems at different stages of group development,and there are certain applied limitations in group work methods.How to respond to these deficiencies and limitations are related to the realization of group activities and the achievement of activity goals,so every social worker needs to handle these periodic tasks flexibly and focus on lots of influence factors actively.It aim at seeking a more desirable intervention strategy for the advanced cancer patients that can achieve gradually the localization of hospice care in our country.
