The reading of masterpiece is an important part of junior high school students' language and literature learning.In the new curriculum reform,from the masterpieces booklist recommended by “New Curriculum Standards” to the increase of the reading capacity of the masterpieces,this shows that the masterpiece reading has become an important content of junior high school students' reading.Because of this,it has become an important issue for the research of Chinese education to guide junior high school students how to read famous works effectively.In this study,the masterpiece reading mainly refers to the reader's use of language actively,understanding,comprehending,absorbing,and appreciating classic literary works that have passed down by the test of the times and cultivate their sentiments constantly and promote self-cultivation.In this study,a questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate the reading status of junior middle school students' masterpieces and the status of reading instruction of their teachers.It was concluded that junior middle school students had poor reading skills,lack of reading interest,and lack of reading abilities,and junior high school teachers pay insufficient attention to the masterpiece reading,lack of reading instruction for masterpieces,and ignoring the evaluation of famous readings.From the perspective of educational psychology and reading theory,this thesis demonstrates that the masterpiece reading instruction is of great value in correcting the attitude of junior high school students' masterpieces reading and discovering the beauty of reading,reducing the difficulty of junior high school students' masterpieces reading and expanding students' reading space,developing the ability of junior high middle school students to read masterpieces.In the end,this paper discusses the three aspects of the guiding theory of reading the masterpiece reasonable reading goals,helping students to select appropriate reading materials and guiding students to construct a clear reading process.through the analysis of the introduction to the famous manuscripts of the junior high school textbooks and “New Curriculum Standards for the Nine-year Compulsory Education”.Then,in conjunction with the writing review of "Dream of Red Mansions"," The Ricksha Boy",the copywriting of "The Old Man and the Sea," and the rewriting of " From Hundred-Grass Garden to Three-Taste School," the guide to intensive reading and skimming of "Journey to the West",This paper discusses the combination of read and write strategies and intensive reading and skimming strategies.Then,in order to guide students to read masterpieces like "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer",the paper introduces how junior high school students can use a limited time to efficiently read a masterpiece and then share it with teachers and students.Reading “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” and reading “Journey to the West” and “How the Steel Was Tempered” as a case,using theoretical knowledge,discusses how to implement the strategy of reading together;through the booklist of the Ministry of Education recommended and must-read books,the methods of reading natural sciences,humanities and social sciences,and literary works were analyzed.The guiding strategies for the reading of famous works were discussed and practiced.
