Research On The Process Of Special Child Needs Assessment

Special children refer to all kinds of children with significant differences in intelligence,emotion,body,behavioral language and other aspects.The problems of special children have aroused wide public concern.Social workers use professional skills and methods to carry out individual cases,groups and community services in the service of special children.Among them,social work demand assessment is the important link of social work service.There exists particularity in the demand evaluation of special children's service object,which needs special research.This paper studies the case service of the children with cerebral palsy,analyzes the problems and causes of the needs assessment of social workers,and analyzes the methods for the rational needs assessment of special children.The basic conclusion of this study is:First,social workers use participatory observation,unstructured interview,and scale,to make an effective and reasonable assessment of the needs of special child Deng in three aspects: personal,family and society.Second,social workers for special children in the process of conducting a needs assessment,the data collection phase,the problem is clear: professional trust relationship difficulties,easy to overlook director of individuality,to the director of the interview is not enough in-depth,with the director needs this existence predicament,social worker role positioning is not clear.Third,social workers for special children in the process of conducting a needs assessment,the reasons of the problems mainly has: one is the object itself exists inferiority,sensitive personality disorders;The second is the weak label;Third,the limitation of the subject's own conditions;Fourth,the demand performance of the case is complex;Fifth,the professional competence of social workers is limited;Six is the availability of resources.Fourth,aiming at the problems above and the analysis of the causes,the discussion of special children and reasonable method of conducting a needs assessment,it should be noted that attaches great importance to the special children's family member's support,dig deeper into the special children's individual potential,choose the appropriate interview time,insist on the professional ethics of social work,promote professional social work ability,build special needs children resources classification index,the introduction of professional evaluation.
