Practice Exploration Of Social Work Intervention In Special Children Family Services

Special children living in primary family, bring the huge economic burden and psychological pressure to the normal family, seriously restricted the growth and regular work of the family.Special Children family has many special needs, but the government and society also meet the needs of the physical rehabilitation, ignored the parents’ needs.Needs of special children parents include of material needs, psychological support and education counseling needs. Psychological support include of counseling, construction of social support network. Education counseling include of rehabilitation medical knowledge learning, employment and marriage service and so on. Although special children family have a variety of needs, but due to the limited human and material resources, the traditional welfare institutions of government-led rescue mode is not good for the native special children home. As a helping profession, social work has the incomparable superiority in service of special children family. If apply the service concept, professional knowledge, practical skills of social work to the service, will play a better effect. Now some organizations of social work appeared,"blue stick" parent club is a services agency of social work. Auther exposured to a lot of special children families during the internship, understood the situation and difficulties of them by communication. Shortage of economic resources, lack of knowledge of medical rehabilitation, stress of long-term care of special children, social discrimination, will affect the intimate relation between family members if these problems accumulated for a long time. This paper will introduce a group activity of the "blue stick" parent club, organise the similar experience family, apply knowledge and mode of family social work, relief the intensive membership. In order to provide practical experience to social work of special children families, discuss of effectiveness and shortcomings of social work intervene in special children and family services.
