In the new media era,major changes have taken place in the cognitive style and learning style of college students.The new media not only serves as a function of information transmission,but also serves as an effective tool to supplement university students' cognition.However,lack of proper guidance and good new media literacy make it easy for college students to lose themselves in the ocean of information created by the new media.Therefore,it is very important to reform the current college students' new media literacy education model.Cognitive communication studies takes individuals as research objects,take information as medium,take media as bridges,researches the overall procedure of communication,and proposes learning theories such as metacognitive theory,humanism,behaviorism,recognizing the concept of propagation,and so on.At the same time,it provides a theoretical basis for the new media literacy education.To this end,based on the perspective of cognitive communication,a new model of college students' new media literacy education is systematically constructed from the perspectives of government,society,families,and college students.This requires not only the subjective initiative of college students,but also the position of universities.To give play to government support and the society as an auxiliary role,we must pay more attention to the influence of the family.
