Primary education lays the foundation of all types of education at all levels,is the main component of compulsory education,as well as an important part of the national education system. In the new era,it plays a fundamental and supportive role in safeguarding and improving people’s livelihood and enhancing citizenship quality, while the group of primary school principals remains a key factor in running primary school education.whose work status and work effectiveness play a decisive role in the overall quality of primary education. In view of this, investigations and analysis were conducted especially on the occupational pressures and its coping styles of primary school principals in the three districts of Tianjin,in order to provide reference mitigation measures and countermeasures, and to provide some reference data and research conclusions relating to cadre education training for the education administration and organization departments, with an expectation of being helpful to cadre cultivation work.Reading the occupational stress and its coping styles in the past, especially the research that specifically targeted primary and secondary school principals and teachers,I have the questionnaires about the occupational stress of primary school principals, and implemented prediction and formal measurements, after combined with the interview records of some principals and teachers and combed the research conclusions in this field. The SPSS 19.0 software was adopted for analysing statistical results after measurement,as well as T-tests,F-tests,correlation analysis, and stepwise regression analysis were also used to analyse the statistical results and their mutual effects of the occupational stress and coping styles of primary school principals on demographic variables.According to the statistical analysis results,it shows the following conclusions.Namely, the revised Occupational Stress Survey Questionnaire for Primary School Principals is of good reliability and validity,it can meet the needs of this study, and is basically fitted with the theoretical preset model.Second, the majority of primary school principals have relatively large occupational pressure during work, with an increased proportion of the number of primary and secondary school principals in this area.Third, the distribution of occupational stress for primary principals is rather complicated and presents a diversified trend.Compared with the conclusions in the previous studies, the intensified pressure in the following aspects has increased significantly, including security and stability, tasks assigned by the superior, interpersonal conflicts, workload, internal management, role conflicts, social expectations, and party building work, etc.Fourth, primary school principals are most inclined to get help and solve problems in facing of occupational stress, reflecting that the group’s coping style is relatively mature when faced with occupational stress.Fifth,in order to ease the occupational pressure of primary school principals, relevant suggestions are put forward from two aspects. That is,it is necessary to strengthen the trust and understanding toward the principals,to support, help, and cultivate them,as well as increasing their training opportunities, from the perspective of the education administrative department and the organization department. From the individual standpoint, the primary principals should constantly concentrate on learning, especially ideals and beliefs, personal accomplishments,as well as management capabilities and psychological adjustment, but also they should improve their ability to actively relieve occupational stress and enhance their work effectiveness and self-efficacy. |
