| Teacher’s management refers to taking time as a management object and the process of rational planning,monitoring,and evaluation for teacher’s time and school hours including working time and leisure time.Teacher’s time management is the important content of the reform and management of primary and middle school education,which is the most important factor of teacher’s professional development.Studying the time management of junior high school teachers helps to improve teachers’ time utilization efficiency,thereby improving the professional growth of junior high school teachers and the quality of life.The research mainly adopted the method of questionnaire and interview to study teacher’s time management about six middle school in Shangqiu City,Henan province and the samples were selected by stratified random sampling.The main content of the investigation is the time management of junior high school teachers and time arrangement and use.The results show that the general level of teacher time management in Shangqiu City is general,and the reconition degree of time value is higher,and it needs to be strengthened in time behavior and time self-satisfaction.The time management of junior high school teachers shows difference in grade,subject,teaching age and teacher’s title.The time management of the head teacher’s is significantly stronger than the teacher of the non-class director.The average school time of junior high school teachers is longer and the burden is heavier.The teaching auxiliary time structure is not reasonable.The time of self-promotion is insufficient.lack of Sleep time and lack of exercise time.Leisure time consciousness and use are improper.The factors that influence the time management of junior high school teachers are followings.The teacher lack of time management ability,time consciousness and time behavior and management methods are single.The goal of the entrance examination is due to the bias of time values.Educational administration and school time management lack flexibility.Social and parent expectations and professional stress.In order to improve the effectiveness of the use of teacher time in junior high school,we can start with the following aspects.Firstly,improve teacher’s time management ability of junior high school,cherish time,enhance leisure time consciousness,rational view of the completion of time planning.Secondly,deepen the reform of education,give teachers policy support,reform the enrollment system,optimize the time limit of teachers,and establish the limit standard for teachers’ work time.Thirdly,gives independent control time which help teachers’ professional development,teachers should master the scientific management method,the government and school give the necessary support and guarantee.Fourthly,establish a reasonable expectation for teachers,improve understanding and supporting,last but not least change teachers’ evaluation system. |
