Innovation is the first motivation to lead development so that the rapid developing society needs more talents with innovative abilities.Therefore,sense of innovation and creative thinking are required more strictly in the cultivation of students in fine art education.Creative thinking which is composed of concentrated thinking and divergent thinking is the core thinking to cultivate innovative talents.This advanced thinking activity is playing a key role in cultivating students’ innovative ability.The school’s fine arts courses have an irreplaceable role in improving students’ aesthetic,imagination and creative ability.Students in high school have active thinking,mature psychology,strong curiosity and thirsty for knowledge so that high school phrase is a crucial period for cultivating creative thinking.Graphic creativity courses are important for the development of high school students’ creative thinking as graphics is the basis for learning fine arts.The thinking training methods of the graphic creativity courses which can cultivate high school students’ associative thinking,reverse thinking,logical thinking and divergent thinking include element substitution,idioms,joint thoughts(basic method),etc.Students are easy to understand graphics and showing their creativity by bold exaggeration of graphics through graphic creativity courses which improved their passion and interest in learning the fine arts,so that their imagination and creative thinking and ability are improved in this process.This article is divided into five parts:First,the concept of graphic creativity and creative thinking and understanding of related teaching theory;Second,discussion on the importance of high school art education to cultivate creative thinking;Third,the feasibility analysis of graphic creativity design for high school students’ creative thinking training and expansion;Fourth,discussion on the strategy of cultivating creative thinking of high school students by graphic creative teaching;Fifth,Design and implementation of graphic creative teaching.
