With its unique aesthetic value and teaching significance,the travel literature classical Chinese occupies a certain proportion in senior high school textbooks,which allows students to both feel natural beauty and appreciate the author’s ambitions and emotions of the author with playing an important role in cultivating students’ aesthetic qualities and improving their reading as well as appreciation skills.The travel literature classical Chinese of senior high school carries distinctive stylistic feature that makes it a great difference from other classical Chinese.However,according to the teaching status,a considerable number of teachers have neglected the characteristics of travel literature classical Chinese and students’ needs,which weakened students’ interest in learning so that they cannot experience the beauty of scenery or the author ’ s emotions and philosophies implied.What’s more,students cannot realize the unique charm of travel literature classical Chinese or appreciate properly.On the other hand,due to the lack of corresponding reaching strategies to promote students ’ learning,teachers often feel powerless.Based on taking the PEP edition senior high school Chinese teaching material as research object,this paper analyzes the status of essay selection and stylistic features of travel literature classical Chinese in senior high school,and then puts forward four stylistic features of travel literature classical Chinese.By means of questionnaire,student acceptance of travel literature classical Chinese in senior high school and the teaching situation are surveyed;meanwhile,the problems in the teaching of travel literature classical Chinese are proposed.Meanwhile,according to the status stylistic features of travel literature classical Chinese in senior high school,this paper proposes four kinds of general teaching strategies and two kinds of individual teaching strategies of travel literature classical Chinese in senior high school.These expect to increase students ’interest in learning travel literature classical Chinese,so that students can learn to distinguish and appreciate classical Chinese,and then improve students’ aesthetic attainment.
