Research On The Social Work Intervention Of The Family Of The Bereaved Adolescents

A complete family and two living parents are one of the necessary conditions for the healthy growth of adolescents.Bereavement is an unpredictable event for a family.With the death of one of the parents,the stable family structure is destroyed.The children in the family not only have to accept this major family change,but also face the trauma of the soul.Serious people may have a psychological crisis.Faced with the occurrence of bereavement,young people who are in critical stages of growth have not only lost all-round education and care,but also have to bear tremendous pressure in their studies and lives.Adolescents are at the critical period of physical and mental development.The appearance of bereavement will have different degrees of influence on young people who are in their growth stages,which will lead to different problems and may have a negative impact on society over time.By focusing on the young people of bereavement families,social workers help young people establish their understanding of the nature of death,correctly express their attitude toward death,and gradually complete the task of sadness.The pain of losing a parent will cause the young people to fall into grief,but this emotional anomaly will not be noticed quickly by parents.With the extension of time,this kind of sadness and pain can be spent without professional help and the normal process of sadness will cause a series of psychological problems.Through professional skills,social workers establish professional relationships with their clients,analyze and diagnose the cause of the problem,and help their clients recognize the impact of bereavement on themselves and restore a positive lifestyle.Social workers help solve specific problems,eliminate bad emotions,improve interpersonal relationships,promote parent-child relationships in bereavement families,actively educate and guide children in dealing with negative life events,and increase the mental health of adolescents in bereavement families,so as to achieve the purpose of “help people help themselves”.This article takes the XX district of the city of Bozhou as an example,selects an adolescent who is in a typical bereavement family,and starts a case study from three levels.First of all,through face-to-face conversations with the client,the author understands the problems of the client and provide support to the client's emotion through professional casework interventions to help him establish reasonable emotions,correct perceptions,vent his sadness,and adapt to new life so as to achieve the purpose of promoting his healthy growth.The second is to communicate with the client's guardian(mother),so that the mother of the client realizes the reason for the client's problem,so she can use appropriate education methods to communicate with the client and correct the impact of improper education on him.In the end,the author led the client to gradually realize his important position in the family and the school and help him establish a correct outlook on life and values.Through this interventional study,the client is gradually aware of his own problems and has undergone major changes from psychological to behavioral.The content of the thesis is based on the case of bereavement adolescent Xiao Yuan(a pseudonym)in Mengcheng District of Bozhou City as the case study subject,and the research focuses on the specific problems of bereaved families and adolescents.Single-parent families have become a relatively common social problem and have aroused widespread concern in society.Bereavement has caused the disintegration of a family structure.Although the form also belongs to a single family,due to the different causes of single parent families,the feelings and adjustments of bereavement will also be different.Affected by traditional Chinese culture,it is difficult for bereavement families to establish new families.Many bereavement families continue to live with children and the parent remained,this has led to problems on psychological area and living conditions.The children of bereavement families have a series of problems such as growth and education which require professionals,government departments,and related organizations to pay attention.The problem of the bereaved adolescents should be discovered as soon as possible,and timely solutions should be provided through professional help.Do not let the bereavement affect the healthy development of adolescents.By solving the specific problems of a bereavement family,the author explores how social work can better meet the growing needs of bereaved families and adolescents,explores the mode of services in social work involvement on adolescents' growth in bereavement families,and improves the service effectiveness of grief social work on adolescents in bereavement families,thus became the innovation of this thesis.
