Practical Research On Biology Teaching In High School Based On 5E Teaching Mode

In the "General High School Biology Course Standard 2017 Edition" published by the Ministry of Education of China,propose new curriculum concepts,advocate high school biology to allow students to master the concept of biology through inquiry learning,promote the Development of Students' Core Literacy by Learning Appraisal.5E teaching is an inquiry-based teaching model proposed by the American Biological Science Curriculum Study based on constructivism,this model divides the classroom into five links: engagement,exploration,explanation,elaboration,and evaluation.The 5E teaching model is highly compatible with the new curriculum standard teaching philosophy,therefore,it has important practical significance to study the application effect of 5E teaching model in high school biology classroom through practice.This research uses the literature method,questionnaire survey method and interview method to study how to implement the 5E teaching model in the high school biology class in one semester.The purpose is to explore new teaching models that are in line with the actual situation of the school in order to improve the students' autonomous learning ability.In the earlier period of the study,teachers were interviewed to understand the teaching status of the practice school.In teaching practice,5E teaching and traditional teaching are conducted separately,and the differences between the two different teaching modes are compared and analyzed.In the later period,students' interviews,classwork analysis,and self-learning ability questionnaires were used to test the effectiveness of the 5E teaching model in the high school biology classroom.In the end,aiming at the shortcomings of its own teaching practice,it puts forward suggestions for the better implementation of the 5E teaching model.The results of previous interviews with teachers showed that the current high school biology classroom teaching is still dominated by the traditional model,and students' autonomous learning ability is poor.In view of this status quo,to better promote the 5E teaching model for reference in future teaching research.In the practical process of the 5E teaching model,the author and the teacher of the practice school are familiar with the theory of the 5E teaching model and discuss together to determine the specific implementation process of the 5E biology classroom,and constantly test and improve in practice.This article provides three cases.The first case is the teacher's first attempt to use the 5E teaching model in the “Characteristics of Enzymes” section of the practice school.The other two are examples of 5E teaching practiced by the author in practical teaching.They are the experimental class “Detection of sugars,fats and proteins in biological tissues” and the “cell proliferation” of the biological model construction class.Student questionnaire results showed that before the implementation of the 5E teaching model,there was no significant difference in the autonomous learning ability of the two parallel classes(P=0.28).After one semester of teaching practice,the difference in the autonomous learning ability of the two classes was significant(P=0.01),and the self-learning ability of the experimental class was higher than that of the control class.In the seven dimensions of self-directed learning,the two classes showed extremely significant differences in the two dimensions of learning interest and time self-management(P<0.01;P<0.01),and the two dimensions of learning strategies and learning process were also significant difference(P=0.03;P=0.01).The main components of the seven dimensions of self-directed learning are analyzed,and the three principal components of the students' self-management ability of time,the control of the learning process,and the self-evaluation of the learning results are extracted.The contribution rate is greater than 80%,indicating that these three aspects are the main factors that affect students' ability to learn independently.The result of classwork shows that compared with the control class,the experimental class has a more serious attitude towards the homework,and the language expression ability and information extraction ability of the experimental class are more prominent than those of the control class.Through interviews confirmed: 5E teaching model has been recognized by students,students have a keen interest in the study of biology.In a word,compared with the traditional common classroom teaching model,the 5E teaching model is more in line with the new curriculum teaching philosophy,which can better cultivate students' autonomous learning ability.In order to give full play to the advantages of the 5E teaching model,schools should improve the supporting laboratory equipment and strengthen the training of teachers' professional skills and accomplishments;teachers should organize learning groups to optimize the resources of students themselves;students should actively cooperate with the development of self-directed learning ability.5E teaching can effectively improve the core qualities of students' biology.It is a teaching model worthy of promotion.
