As it is known, differences always exist among the students. Classroom teaching has come to a new stage, with the deepening of the new curriculum reforms, that it is not only for the common developments of the whole students', but also for the individual developments of their different characters. Therefore, Graded Teaching and Learning (GTL:GT and GL) is required in the classroom teaching.In the process of carrying out GTL, students should first be scientifically studied and analyzed for what their differences are, and then be grated and grouped into different units of the similar grades, to which Graded Teaching (GT) will be undertaken for different goals. As a result, students in different units are supposed to obtain the full developments with both their own and the teachers' efforts.Simultaneously, students develop themselves initiatively by making full use of the learning plans designed by the teachers, discussing and cooperating in groups. That is the GL.The combination of GL and GT plays an important role in "individualized teaching" and reforming the students'learning ways, as well as stimulating the students' objective function in learning, and cultivating the students' abilities in independent learning.In the direction of teaching theories, this study is carried out in junior school biology teaching, by combining with the teaching practice, taking the Teaching Experiment Approach, Literature Method and Investigation Method as the main methods. It specifically indicates a "Learning-plan Guided, GT and GL Combined" mode. It mainly contains the following three aspects:First, the author has theoretically analyzed the present situation of teaching modes, both of domestic and foreign. Next, the author has reconstructed the theory of GTL. And finally, the "Learning-plan Guided, GT and GL Combined" mode has been experimented in junior school biology teaching.After a year's teaching practice, it has been confirmed that "Learning-plan Guided, GT and GL Combined" mode is helpful to increase students' interest in learning, to promote students' learning transitions, to improving the students' ability of self-study and to help students cultivate their good learning habits. It has also confirmed the effective implementation of the new curriculum concepts, and the improvements of the teaching effect.
