In recent years,the Chinese teaching in Chile has witnessed rapid development and strong government support.Mounting Confucius Institutes and Chinese centers have been opened.However,in this new situation,the international education of Chinese language also faces many problems and challenges.At present,the common Chinese teaching centers in Chile are mainly distributed in public high schools.Most of their Chinese teachers are volunteers selected by Hanban of China.Due to cultural differences,lack of experience and inadequacy of communication among volunteers,many Chinese teachers reflect that the greatest difficulty encountered in Chile is not the professional requirement of language teaching but classroom management.Classroom management is an important part of classroom teaching,which has a direct impact on teaching quality and progress.Therefore,there are still many problems to be solved in Chinese teaching in Chilean high schools.Based on the typical Chinese class in Chilean public high schools,this dissertation tries to find out the causes of the problems and put forward appropriate suggestions through the demonstration and analyses of the four aspects of classroom management—routine management,environmental management,order management and activity management—in hope of providing succeeding teachers with possible help.The dissertation includes six parts in total:Introduction presents the topics,research objects and methods,and reviews the research results in related fields.The first chapter clarifies some concepts about classroom management through its practical significance as well as categories,and then establishes the theoretical foundation for the whole thesis.The second chapter introduces the general situation of Chinese teaching centers in Chilean public high schools,expounds the current situation and particularity of classroom management in Chile,and details the Chinese education in Rodulfo High School.The third chapter reproduces,analyses,summarises and ponders over the management problems appearing in Chinese class from the aspects of genera management,environmental management,order management and activity management.The fourth chapter,according to the existing problems mentioned in the cases,puts forward reasonable and feasible suggestions on the management of Chinese class in Rodulfo High School.Conclusion summarises the classroom management issues and countermeasures proposed in the dissertation,and points out the shortcomings in the study.
