| The Standard of Chinese Curriculum for Senior Schools(2003)explicitly states that "fostering traditional Chinese culture talents" is the core pursuit of Classical Chinese learning.Classical Chinese teaching plays an important role in inheriting cultural heritages,promoting humanities making and shaping cultural background among students.However,it has long been the words,phrases,sentences and articles tutoring in high school with little emphasis on our excellent traditional Chinese culture.In order to find the reality of traditional culture education in high school Classical Chinese teaching,the author visited and investigated two senior high schools in Kashgar,Xinjiang.The methodologies which the author adopted include literature study,questionnaires,interviews and case analysis.According to the findings,the current status of Chinese traditional culture and education in high school Chinese teaching is not very optimistic.Although teachers can recognize the importance of traditional Chinese culture and education to students,due to the limitations of examination methods and evaluation methods,there is no effort in teaching to conduct traditional culture and education.And in teaching for a long time,the teaching goal of classical Chinese has been positioned on the instrumental and practical aspects,and to a certain extent,the traditional culture and education has been neglected.The concrete manifestation is in three aspects: the recognition and mastery of the basic knowledge of heavy classical Chinese,the lack of cultural atmosphere in the classroom,the basic knowledge of classical Chinese and the messy cultural knowledge system.The analysis shows that there are three main causes of the current situation of Chinese traditional culture education in high school Chinese teaching: teaching concepts,teaching methods and teachers’ literacy.In the light of the existing problems and considerations,this thesis aims to provide the corresponding solutions for Classical Chinese teaching in senior high school,which based on current context and the concepts of new curriculum reform.This study hopes to play a role in strengthening Chinese excellent traditional culture and education in the teaching of high-level Chinese words,which will be helpful to further promote the development of high Chinese language teaching and the inheritance of excellent Chinese traditional culture. |
