Research On The Evaluation Index System Of Internationalization Of Universities In Yunnan Province

Higher education internationalization has become a wilder trend in the global scope,being the marked feature and central issue.In the wake of continuous and deeper development of world-wide higher education internationalization,the evaluation on internationalization of universities turn into a topic of major debate.According to the school-running orientation and development target of different levels and types of universities,research on the evaluation index system,a dozen experiments by China and abroad had been attempted for classification evaluation.However,it rarely comes for a economic development areas or province.Yunnan province is the economic and cultural radiation center for countries in south and south-east Asia,which makes it unusual and need a special evaluation index system to match its internationalization.Consequently,this research will build the evaluation index system of internationalization of universities in Yunnan Province.Through literature analysis,comparative approach,questionnaire survey,scale compilation,item analysis,factor analysis,this paper strives to present a set of scientific evaluation index system of Internationalization of Universities.According to Yunnan's actual situation,and on the basis of necessity of constructing an index system of internationalization of universities,this study designs a questionnaire which involves 63 observation spots,and are sent to 345 teachers from 53 universities.Then by the factor analysis,the evaluation index system of internationalization of universities in Yunnan Province is confirmed.Main results for this study are as follows:Evaluation index system of internationalization of universities in Yunnan Province involves seven first class indicators,21 second class indicators.And the first class indicators are:Concept and Strategic,International Organization,Curriculum System,Science Research Work,Faculties in Universities,International Talents,International Exchange and Cooperation.And there exist three characters in this evaluation index system:1.following the basic idea of data-based quantitative analysis.2.The equal-stress evaluation concept of process evaluation and output evaluation.3.Highlighting the fundamental principles of modernity and expansionary.
