Academic procrastination has always been a common and unavoidable problem in schools and families.Academic delay not only reduces learning efficiency,affects academic performance,but also easily causes psychological problems among students.At present,the phenomenon of pupils' academic delay and its intervention need to be deeply studied.The purpose of this paper is to explore the relationship between parentchild attachment,self-concept and academic procrastination in primary school students by means of questionnaire and intervention.In this study,490 primary school students from four primary schools in Shanghai were studied to explore the status quo of parentchild attachment,self-concept and academic procrastination among them.Based on the results of the survey,study ii selected students with academic procrastination problems in one of the above primary schools as the intervention objects,and conducted selfconcept intervention through group counseling to explore whether it can improve students' academic procrastination behavior.The results of the study are as follows:(1)There is a gender difference in academic procrastination of primary school students,and there is no significant difference in grade and whether they are only children.(2)Parent-child attachment,self-concept and their dimensions are negatively correlated with academic procrastination.There is a significant positive correlation between the two dimensions of parent-child attachment and selfconcept and its dimensions.(3)The self-concept of primary school students has some mediating effects in the relationship between parent-child attachment,trust and academic procrastination.(4)The intervention of group counseling can significantly improve the self-concept of primary school students,and to a certain extent,improve their academic procrastination behavior.The results of this study suggest that primary school students have the phenomenon of academic procrastination,but the procrastination level is generally not high;Both primary school students' self-concept and parent-child attachment can affect their academic procrastination.Group counseling can effectively improve the selfconcept of primary school students and improve their academic procrastination behavior to some extent,which provides some educational references and inspirations for schools and families to deal with the problem of primary school students' academic procrastination.
