Vocabulary is the building material of language.Teaching Chinese vocabulary to foreign students should not only requires students to correctly understand the meaning of words and master the usage of target words,but also teaches students how to learn Chinese vocabulary,strengthen their memory and self-learning ability.The morpheme teaching method can not only improve the teaching efficiency and expand the vocabulary in a short time,but also maintain the interest of students in learning Chinese and lay a good foundation for Chinese learning in the long run.Therefore,the morpheme teaching method,as the most suitable vocabulary teaching method for Chinese as a foreign language,deserves our in-depth study.Based on a questionnaire survey for teachers and students,the morpheme awareness of Georgian Chinese teachers and junior and intermediate students is investigated,the use of morpheme teaching methods in Chinese vocabulary teaching for Georgian and intermediate students is discussed,and the difficulties and necessity of the implementation of morpheme teaching methods in Georgian students at different stages is summarized,then gave specific teaching suggestions for students at different stages,and finally combined with the actual case analysis and teaching design.The survey results show that although Georgian Chinese teachers subjectively recognize the role of morpheme pedagogy in vocabulary teaching,the use of morpheme pedagogy in specific teaching is generally low;There are some difficulties while the morpheme teaching method is implemented among elementary(stage I)students,so teachers are advised to infiltrate morpheme teaching in a timely and appropriate manner;It is less difficult and more necessary to implement themorpheme teaching method in elementary(stageII)students,so teachers are recommended to try the morpheme teaching method;There are almost no difficulty but strong necessity to implement the morpheme teaching method among intermediate students,so teachers are advised to strengthen morpheme teaching.Finally,in the teaching case of morpheme teaching method for elementary(stageII)students,the application value of morpheme teaching in teaching Chinese vocabulary to foreigners was confirmed.
