Research On The Theme Of Intermediate And Advanced Textbooks In Second Language

With the increasing of globalization,countries are more and more closely connected with each other.As a means of communication,language has attracted more and more attention from people.An excellent second language textbook is very beneficial to learners' learning.The text is an important part of the textbook,and the selection of text subject is the premise of the text to play a role in teaching,is the basic guarantee to achieve the teaching goal.This paper selected the "New Practical Chinese Textbook" series,in which volume 3 of the second edition was published in April 2012,volume 4 was published in December 2012,volume 5 of the first version was published in July 2005,and volume 6 was published in December 2009.All these above are comparatively studied with volume 3 and 4 of "New Concept English" series which were published on April 1,2005.And analyzes their similarities and differences in subject setting.This paper mainly discusses from five aspects: I.define and classify the "subject",and determine the concept and classification standard of the subject.According to the research needs of this paper,the subject types are divided into 14 aspects;ll.the subjects of the two textbooks are compared.Firstly,the subjects are classified,sorted out and counted,and then the subjects are compared and analyzed from the aspects of quantity,content and characteristics.III.Comparative analysis on the pertinence,practicability,interest and difficulty of corpus of the two textbooks;IV.Find out the problems that are worth discussing in the subject setting of the two textbooks;V.based on the research of this paper,Suggestions on the selection of subjects of Chinese as a second language textbooks can enable more textbook editors to pay attention to the importance of subjects,and compile higher quality and more practical textbooks.
