This report is based on the translation of the Chapters 7 to 8 of Moral Limit and Possibility in World Politics. The topic of chapter 7 is paradoxes in humanitarian intervention, and that of chapter 8 is the relationship between gender equality and multiculturalism. The original text is an informative text, and its main purpose is to convey information. The text is characterized by formal vocabulary, complicated sentence pattern and rigorous logic. The main translation issue to be explored in this report is the accurate translation of implicit information in political text. The translation of implicit information is divided into three categories: implicit semantic information, implicit referential information, and implicit logical information. And the implicit semantic information also includes nouns, verbs and adjectives containing implicit information. In this process, instead of limiting ourselves to the literal meaning,we should infer the true meaning of the implicit information by the context. Some translation methods, such as paraphrase, extension and amplification, were used to achieve the explicitation of implicit information. The author has enriched knowledge reserve, enhanced the understanding of the translation process, and made a conclusion on the main translation problems and translation methods through writing this translation report. And this report is aimed to provide reference for the translation practice in the future.
