This report selects the contents of Populism and the Crisis of Democracy:(VOLUMN 1)Concepts and Theory(chapter 1,chapter 2 and parts of chapter 3).These three chapters mainly discuss the conceptual issues of populism,which are of certain reference value for the study in related fields.The author writes the report based on the implicit information,the prominent feature of the text.Implicit information in the original text is mainly reflected in words,phrases and sentences.In the whole process of translation,the author adopts the explicitation strategy for implicit information,and flexibly applies translation methods such as free translation,as well as translation techniques such as extension,addition and transformation to translate implicit information.Through the writing of this report,the author has deepened the understanding of relevant concepts in the field of politics,and the study of translation theories.Given the international situation in recent years,it is necessary to know more about political events of various countries,and the author hopes that this report will attract more people to pay attention to international political situation.Meanwhile,it can provide some new opinions for the study of implicit information and references for future translators in this field.
