This article takes primary and secondary school students as the research object in Karakol,Issyk-Kul,northern Kyrgyzstan,and studies the language usage of primary and secondary school students from the perspective of language use environment,language use ability,and language use attitude.Based on the results of previous studies,a questionnaire survey method was used to understand the language use and language attitudes of primary and secondary school students and parents in the field according to field survey results.And analyze the relevant factors.The students' language use is mainly investigated in three areas: family environment,campus environment and social communication.A comparative method was used to compare and analyze the language use of different ethnic students.From four aspects of listening,speaking,reading and writing,students' language ability is examined.Students' self-evaluation,interviews,and observations are used to conduct in-depth examinations of students' language abilities and understand the real attitude of students and parents to domestic languages and foreign languages.Analyses many factors that affect the language attitude of the place.The characteristics of language use among primary and secondary school students in Karakol are analyzed: the use of native language is highest in home area;the language and ethnicity of the school's types have the greatest impact on students' language use in the use of campus languages;It is the object of conversation that determines the language use,and the language usage of students of different nationalities has its own characteristics.In general,the language use characteristics of primary and middle school students in Karakol are that the use of Kyrgyz language by students of all ethnic groups is on the rise;Russian is widely used as a term of inter-ethnic language,and its status remains unchanged;languages of other ethnic groups often appear in the family environment but which is the use of a narrow range.The reasons for retrospective are the following: First,it is influenced by politics,economy,culture,and religion from the macro perspective.Second,it is influenced by the education policy,social environment,family environment,and language attitude from the micro perspective.
