In recent years,with the release of the general framework of "Chinese students’ development of core literacy",the research on the transformation and implementation of students’ development of core literacy in the curriculum and teaching links has become a popular topic.According to the top-level design of students’ development of core literacy,combining with the nature and task of English subject,the English curriculum and teaching reform in China further details the content category of "core literacy of English subject",which points to four dimensions of language ability,learning ability,thinking quality and cultural awareness.From "core literacy" to "discipline core literacy",the educational goal system puts forward new requirements for front-line teaching practitioners,and also needs to carry out specific research in teaching practice.This study selects primary school English homework as the research object.The basic assumption is that homework as an important carrier of English language teaching activities plays a key role in cultivating core literacy of students.The implementation of core development literacy goals for students requires design and implementation Assignment tasks consistent with core literacy requirements for student development.Therefore,the research focuses on the fundamental issue of "how to develop primary school English homework that embodies the core literacy concept" and comprehensively uses methods such as questionnaires,interviews and text analysis to conduct research.The specific research content includes: the current survey of the status of primary school English homework;the problems and causes of primary school English homework discussion;practical research on the design and development of primary school English homework based on core literacy goals;research on countermeasures and suggestions from practical reflection.The main conclusions are as follows:First,with the help of questionnaire survey,we find that there are some problems in English homework in primary schools at present: teachers have a lack of understanding of the purpose of homework;lack of relevance to real life;a single type of job;lack of hierarchical homework requirements for different students;lack of process evaluation measures.Second,it analyzes the problems of English homework in primary schools at the present stage.The reasons are as follows: teachers are subject to the pressure of student test results;teachers have limited understanding of the function of homework;teachers lack guidance of appropriate ideas when designing homework.Thirdly,based on the shortcomings of the current primary school English homework,it is proposed that the content and form of primary school English homework should be reformed based on the goal of subject core literacy.Based on the exploratory construction in teaching practice,the research holds that under the goal and concept of subject core literacy,the functional orientation of primary school English homework is to improve students’ comprehensive ability,cultivate students’ innovative spirit,promote students’ all-round development and guide students’ independent exploration.The value orientation of homework design needs to highlight humanity,innovation,times and development.Therefore,the primary school English homework oriented to core literacy requires different types of English homework to be designed in practice to meet the development needs of different students.It is necessary to design the homework close to life and self-presentation to improve students’ language ability and comprehensive ability.In order to cultivate students’ thinking quality and innovative spirit,it is necessary to innovate adaptation homework and train thinking homework.Experiential and practical assignments should be provided to enhance students’ cultural awareness and promote their overall development.In order to develop students’ learning ability and guide them to explore independently,there should be independent inquiry homework and layered design homework.Limited by the sampling scope of the study,the research conclusion or practice case may not be generalized,which is the limitation of this study.However,it is expected that this study,especially the homework cases explored and developed in the practice of teaching reform,can bring some reference and enlightenment for people to think about the homework reform under the core literacy concept. |
