More and more attention has been paid to culture teaching in TCASL.As an important part of the cultural teaching process,the cultural textbooks continue to bring forth new ideas.However,studies of these new textbooks which are different from traditional textbooks in content and form have not been adequately studied,many problems in the compilation of culture textbooks have not been paid enough attention,how can language and culture reading textbooks achieve the cultural teaching goal,still worth exploring.This study selects the language and culture reading textbook Culture Code in Chinese Words which is published in 2016.It investigates and analyses the textbook by using of three principles: fundamentality,systematicness and interesting which have reached a consensus in academic circle.Meanwhile it discusses the advantages and disadvantages from this textbook.This study strives to make a fair evaluation on the culture textbooks,by which it might provide ideas in compilation of new language and culture reading textbooks,and further,carries out cultural education in TCASL.
