A Comparative Study Of Chen Benli And Hu Wenying's Views On Chuci

In the Qing dynasty,sinology flourished during the reign of Emperor Qianlong and Emperor Jiaqing.Chen Benli and Hu Wenying tried their best to interpret Chu Ci and endowed it with new charm and value under the superior academic environment.In the past forty years,the academic circle has greatly expanded the study of Chu Ci in Qianlong and Jiaqing period.However,there are few creative opinions and various opinions on Qu Ci Jing Yi written by Chen Benli and Qu Sao Zhi Zhang written by Hu Wenying.Therefore,this paper takes Chen's and Hu's commentaries of Chu Ci as the research object,in which the author uses the comparative research method to grasp the similarities and differences between Chen and Hu's study of academic thoughts and their understanding of Chu Ci from multiple dimensions and perspectives,trying to figure out the process of the ideological transformation of those annotators,so as to provide some clues for the development of Chu Ci in the period of Qianlong and Jiaqing.The article is divided into five parts:The first part is the background overview of Chen's and Hu's remarks on Chu Ci.It mainly introduces the basic situation of social environment and cultural policy in the Qianlong and Jiaqing period,and discusses in detail the academic trend of thought and the basic appearance of the annotated history of Chu Ci,so as to provide theoretical support for exploring the similarities and differences between Chen and Hu's views on Chu Ci.The second part summarizes and analyzes the similarities between Chen and Hu.By exploring the commonness of Chen's and Hu's commentaries,this paper further discusses the basic connotation of their views on Chu Ci,so as to probe into the puxue spirit of Chen's and Hu's academic thoughts,and find an accurate positioning for them in the research field ofChu Ci in Qianglong and Jiaqing priod.The third part focuses on distinguishing the differences between Chen and Hu.By comparing the differences in the style of notes,literature criticism,the interpretation of argumentation and the textual research method,the differences in their views of Chu Ci are explored in a more detailed way,so as to probe into the changes of Chen's and Hu's scholarly research spirit and the idea of annotating Chu Ci,thus to provide a more comprehensive and objective reference for the development of Chu Ci in the Qianlong and Jiaqing period.The fourth and fifth parts explore the reasons for the similarities and differences between Chen's and Hu's views on Chu Ci,and summarize the value of their annotations in the annotated history of Chu Ci.
