Genghis khan unified the Mongolian plateau and established the Mongol Empire in the early 13 th century.The Mongols began some wars of conquest with the growth of population and the demand for territory and wealth from the founding of the nation.The Mongol western expedition was an important part of the Mongol Empire’s foreign wars,which played a vital role for prosperous of the Mongol Empire,and it was also the main embodiment of the Mongol Empire’s territory expengding.Through three western expeditions,the Mongol Empire extended its territory across the Eurasia.All territory and wealth cannot be closely linked from the correct leadership of the Mongol rulers and the heroic fighting of the Mongol soldiers.Although most of the achievements depended on the flexible strategy and bravery of the mongols themselves,but they had long fought for the over their own interests,which led to acontest for the throne,and affected the politics of the Mongol Empire.For the long term nomadic mongols,they had vast territory and wealth and that without the support and control of the traditional orders.So very difficult to maintain a proper balance of wealth and power,and also a struggle between the rulers was unavoidable.There were many conflicts and contradictions among the members of the gold family with their brilliant achievements,especially in the western expedition of Mongol.During the western campaign,the disputes among the emperors affected the progress of the war,the relations among the royal families,and even the throne inheriting orders of the Mongol Empire.This paper analyzed the contradictionsamong the royal family members in the western expedition of Mongol,and analyzes their disputes and causes on the basis of fully understanding the previous studies and collecting historical materials.
